Whenever our interior life becomes caught up in its own interests and concerns, there is no longer room for others, no place for the poor. The great danger in today’s world, pervaded as it is by consumerism, is the desolation and anguish born of a complacent yet covetous heart, the feverish pursuit of frivolous pleasures, and a blunted conscience. In this Exhortation I wish to encourage the Christian faithful to embark upon a new chapter of evangelization marked by this joy, while pointing out new paths for the Church’s journey in years to come.Ģ. The bikes will pay for my garage flooring.ĭid I mention that I also bought 42 bags of blow-in insulation this weekend? I have them stacked in the garage right now too. I'm lining them up outside as I do my garage clean out. I've got them on Craig's list and sold 3 tonight. Of course, on a side note, I just HAD to go to an auction on Friday and buy 21 bicycles to resell - so of course they are all lined up in my garage at the moment. I'm going to be pushing it with the drying period before putting the epoxy down, but really don't have any other choice based on the weather. I hope to get mine done on Wednesday after powerwashing and etching tomorrow morning. I went with them because I could go buy it immediately without having to wait for shipping and worse weather moving in. I spent all day today moving stuff from my garage into my storage unit and just got home from buying the Rustoleum Professional Epoxyshield. If it's any consolation, I am fighting the same battle you are (with the weather - I'm in Ohio). I'm hoping to have it fully cured by the time I come back from deer camp this coming Sunday so I can start setting the furnace and stuff in place. Gray parking pads the first day, Blue border the second day. If I can get it cleaned up, I'm going to start epoxying tomorrow. I've already etched it once, and am hesitant to use water in there with the unfinished drywall on the walls now. I know the embedded dust has something to do with it. Even with the 36 grit paper, the concrete feels pretty smooth. I vacuumed the dust off last night before I quit but haven't really scrubbed the concrete to get the remaining dust out of the porous surface. I could still use each pad for at least 300 sq ft, but you could feel that the sharp edges were gone off the paper pretty fast. They would do about 50 sq ft really well, but wore down pretty fast. I got the rotary sander instead because I figured it would just sand better.
